Dulverton Primary School

School Closure Update Thursday 19th March 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Further to the Government’s announcement yesterday, I am writing to confirm that the school will close to the majority of pupils tomorrow.

The school will remain open for children of key workers, children with EHCPs and Children Looked After and I am currently putting in place the appropriate arrangements for this.

Thank you to all who have responded to the Key Workers Survey.

Homework packs have been prepared for all year groups and the activities will cover a two week period, in the first instance.

The packs are available to access under the classes tab and then the relevant Year group on the website. They are called Home Learning Packs.

All Nursery children and the children from families that have confirmed they do not have access to a computer have been provided with hard copy packs.

All children in Year 2 and above have been given an exercise book and this should be used to record their work from the homework pack. The activities for children in Reception and Year 1 are all online.

Medical Supplies

Any medical supplies that the school currently hold for your child will be given to you via your child from the class teacher, when they are collected at the end of the school day tomorrow.

If your child is in Year 5 or 6 and normally walks home on their own then we would request that an adult collects them from school tomorrow, so that their medication can also be collected. If you are unable to make arrangements for an adult to attend tomorrow, then please contact the office by e-mail info@dulverton.bexley.sch.uk to make alternative arrangements.

If your child attends After School Club, the medication will be passed to them for you to take when you collect them.

If your child is currently off school, self-isolating, please contact the school office by email info@dulverton.bexley.sch.uk after the self-isolation period has ended to make arrangement for collection.

Please ensure you continue to check both The Department for Education and ParentMail for further updates.

I appreciate that this is an unsettling time for all of us and we will continue to do our utmost to support our Dulverton community.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs S J Stringman
